Code 11 Bar Code Fonts

Implementing barcode solutions with IDAutomation Barcode Font Advantage Packages provides high quality bar code printing results for multiple operating systems and applications. This package includes Code 11 Barcode Fonts with the following features:

Code 11 - Easy to print high-density barcode font that requires a modulo 11 checksum to be calculated. Numeric Character Set - The symbology of the Code 11 character set consists of barcode symbols representing numbers 0-9, a dash symbol, the start character and the stop character Cross-platform Support - The unique encoding in IDAutomation's  font allows cross-platform support between UNIX, Macintosh and Windows® systems. Several Font Formats Supplied - TrueType, OpenType, PCL laserjet soft fonts and PostScript font versions are included. Multiple Versions Provided - 4 different versions of the Code 11 barcode fonts are provided to support different width and height requirements. Over 30 Font Tools Included - These are used to automate the process of adding start codes, stop codes and calculating the check digits for barcode fonts that require them.

In this example, "21435" will be the data encoded in a Code 11 barcode with a single check digit. The check digit is a modulo 11 checksum.

1. First, determine the weights of the numbers in the Code 11 barcode by starting from the right side of the number. Then multiply the number of the barcode by the weighting and add these together as in the example:

2. Barcode to encode: 2  1  4  3  5
   Weighting:         5  4  3  2  1
   Totals:            10 4  12 6  5  Then add them 10+4+12+6+5=37

3. Next divide the total by 11 and get the remainder which is 37/11=3 remainder 4. The remainder is the check character.
4. To type or print a Code 11 barcode encoding the data 21435 that can be scanned, print (214354) .
